Inside Sales - Full Time

Durante Equipment is looking for a motivated and talented Inside Sales Representative/Equipment Rental Specialist. This position is an inside sales role responsible for supporting all customer requests in regard to construction equipment rentals. We are looking for someone with a welcoming personality as our front line of contact with customers.  A detail-oriented, organized individual who can take initiative, prioritize, and who will understand and negotiate customer rental equipment needs.  

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process equipment rental requests from telephone or walk-in customers.

  • Create and monitor rental contracts. Verify accuracy and make changes as required.

  • Manage invoicing, close contracts, and manage completed signatures.

  • Verify customer account and insurance status.

  • Process equipment requests from sales and other sources by matching available inventory with requests.

  • Coordinate maintenance needs of inbound and outbound equipment with the Service and Parts Manager.

  • Maintain equipment inventory levels appropriate for local needs by monitoring demand trends and reservations.

Professional Requirements: Experience, Education, and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years’ experience in the construction equipment field

  • Team player and have the ability to work independently, have strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills, and be an energetic self-starter.

  • Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word Software. Experience with Point of Rental is a plus!

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

  • Proven ability to professionally interact with fellow employees, sales representatives, management, and customers.

Class A CDL Delivery Drivers

Durante Equipment is looking for talented and motivated Class A CDL drivers to transport vaious types of construction equipment on numerous types of trucks and tractor trailers to jobsites within Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach area. We have a stable, friendly and professional environment with an outstanding reputation for family values and excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with heavy equipment transportation, loading and unloading.

  • Authorized to work in the United States

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record

  • Valid DOT Medical Certification

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

  • Touch freight – may need to lift, push or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Spanish is a plus.

Yard Coordinator - Full Time

Durante Equipment is looking for a professional to run our yard operations. The Yard Coordinator will oversee yard operations for safety, quality, and efficiency, receive and log materials and goods, supervise loading and unloading, and maintain an organized, safe and clean yard. A detail oriented, organized individual who can take initiative, prioritize, and has the ability to meet deadlines. A great communicator with customer service skills and who will be able to help improve operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Checking rental machines in and out.

  • Inspecting rental machines.

  • Organizing equipment in the yard.

  • Keeping the equipment yard cleaned and organized.

  • Must be able to operate a pressure washer to clean equipment.

  • Assisting the parts and service departments with miscellaneous tasks.

  • Assists with equipment demonstration, loading, and unloading of equipment.

  • Equipment inventories.

  • Fuel logs.

  • Organize and maintain project materials.

  • Maintaining a safe and hazard-free workplace.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • High school or equivalency degree.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Mechanic II

Durante Equipment is looking for a motivated and talented Mid-Level Mechanic to join our team. We are looking for someone to perform quality preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs as well as performing expert diagnosis to prevent breakdowns, reduce equipment downtime and improve total fleet reliability. This is a full-time mechanic position that offers a great benefit package, competitive pay and the opportunity for growth. Durante Equipment Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various types of equipment typically used in the construction industries.

Works with Lead Mechanic to conduct regular inspections on equipment to ensure safety and preventative maintenance of equipment.

Documents repairs and preventative maintenance for record keeping and invoicing purposes. · Communicates with coworkers and customers to ensure top quality equipment is always maintained and customer expectation is needed. · You will be required to keep track of the maintenance work performed on the vehicles and equipment and comply with all safety procedures. Must have good communication and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. All other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail with the discipline to ensure accurate and quality work.

  • Ability to climb on and inspect large construction equipment regularly.

  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills and a great team player.

  • Willingness to learn

  • Self-motivated with skills and attitude to excel.

  • Must have own tools.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Outside Sales - Full Time

Durante Equipment is looking for talented, enthusiastic, and highly motivated outside sales representatives. As an outside sales representative, you will conduct sales activities out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers in one of our several open territories in Southern Palm Beach, Broward & Miami-Dade counties.

You will be responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providing hands-on explanations for any new or updated products. You will be on the ground floor of a new journey into the Construction Equipment and Rental Business industry.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make office calls and cold calls to existing and potential customers.

  • Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts

  • Maintain and manage current customers to include follow-up to grow additional revenues.

  • Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.

  • Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.

  • Understanding and promoting company programs.

  • Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.

  • Network at local trade shows and industry functions.
